Kozhikode beach is famous for street food and we decided to start from the beach food itself. We walked along the stretch of Kozhikode beach for trying Kerala Payasam. Payasams were sold at a price of Rs. 20.00 per glass and we tried two varieties of them – the Vermicelli Payasam and the Legume Payasam.
After enjoying payasam from the beach road, we walked towards the famous grill lab on beach – the Calicut Karachi Durbar. We heard that Calicut Karachi Durbar at Kottooli is narrow and crowded. But the beach restaurant was not that crowded and the dining space is cozy. We tried their regular mixed platter which was priced at Rs. 480.00
